Can my claim be rejected?

A travel insurance claim could be turned down for a number of reasons, for example if:

  • you did not accurately declare any pre-existing medical conditions when purchasing your policy
  • you don’t have the appropriate level of cover for the incident you are claiming for
  • the incident you are claiming for is deemed to have resulted from reckless behaviour or lack of reasonable care
  • you did not provide adequate supporting documentation when submitting your claim
