Your policy wording and Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) will confirm the underwriter of your travel insurance policy. Please select the relevant insurer below to view the FAQ information that applies to your policy.
The following FAQ provides information about travel insurance policies underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance S.A. If your policy wording and IPID confirm that Inter Partner Assistance S.A. is your insurer, this FAQ information is relevant to your policy.
The table below provides confirmation of the countries that fall into each Coverwise Travel Area category.
If you are travelling to more than one country you must always select a policy that covers the higher travel area, for example:
- If your trip included Spain, China and Canada you would need to select worldwide, (including USA, Canada and the Caribbean).
- If your trip included Morocco and the Gambia you would need to select worldwide, (excluding USA, Canada and the Caribbean).
If you choose to travel against Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice (that is to a country, specific area, or event when the FCDO, or other regulatory authority in a country to/from which you are travelling, has advised against all or all but essential travel) our policies will continue to provide cover for any insured losses unrelated to the specific reasons for the travel advice/restrictions.
For example, should you travel against FCDO or other regulatory authority advice that is in place due to COVID-19, your policy will not provide cover if you suffer with COVID-19 when abroad, but would provide cover for claims that are not directly or indirectly linked to COVID-19 for instance if you broke your leg.
