- A close family member is seriously injured or ill. The illness, injury, or medical condition must be considered life threatening by a doctor or require hospitalisation.
- You are legally required to attend a legal proceeding during your trip whe the attendance is not in the course of your occupation (for example, if you are attending in your capacity as an attorney, court clerk, expert witness, law enforcement officer or other such occupation, this would not be covered)
