Although we are not a specialised business cover provider, our travel insurance policies offer cover for administrative, clerical, non-manual occupations in low-risk environments while abroad.
Examples of work we can cover include:
- working or attending meetings in an office, hotel, conference forum or educational facility
- fruit or vegetable picking as long as it does not involve the use of any motorised or mechanical machinery, power tools or the climbing of ladders
- students working as councillors or on university exchanges for practical, non-manual coursework
However, we cannot provide cover for any paid or unpaid work that involves:
- operating or working as a crew member aboard an aircraft, commercial vehicle or commercial watercraft
- the use of motorised or mechanical machinery
- the use of power tools
- using ladders, steps, harnesses or scaffolding
- DIY, building or construction work that includes the use of tools
- heavy lifting
In addition, there is no cover for Personal Liability for incidents caused by your employment or the employment of a family member.
